This is a natural mummy of a Persian man. He is one of the Salt Men. They are called so because they were found in a salt mine. He belongs to Sassanid Era. The Salt Man was discovered in the Chehrabad salt mines located on the southern part of the Hamzehlu village, on the west side of the city of Zanjan. The head and left foot are currently on display in a glass case at the National Museum of Iran in Tehran.
